Winter is most certainly upon us and with that goes the task of shoveling and removing snow from sidewalks and driveways. Residents are asked to assist the fire department by making sure that hydrants in their neighborhoods are kept clear of snow. Precious time can be lost by firefighters having difficulty in locating hydrants and once located having to dig them clear of the snow.
